IMMIGRATION PROCESS FOR USA

R A S Health Care has sponsored many of foreign healthcare professionals since our inception in 2001. The process differs somewhat by profession; and we only provide a broad outline here; and suggest you contact us for details in your specific situation. Most professionals with a Bachelor’s degree are eligible for the H-1B temporary work visa. This will allow you to work in the United States for up to six years. During that time, if you desire, R A S Health Care can sponsor you for your Green Card (Immigrant Visa).

The process involves three major steps:
1.Credentialing: Proving your education is equivalent to a US educated professional. This is closely tied to the licensing requirements in each state; as well is a factor in the visa processing. You will be able to find specific credentialing information under the state you wish to become licensed. Below (in the licensing section) is a link to this information for each state.

2.Licensing: Involves passing a national exam, and applying to a specific state. Each state is different and this also often involves an English proficiency exam. Click on this link Licensing; to open a separate page with information on all 50 states.

3.Visa Processing: As our attorney and their teams are very familiar with R A S Health Care sponsoring visas, much of the “legwork” is already in place to expedite your visa.

PROCEDURE FOR RECRUITMENT PROCESS IN GULF COUNTRIES

All candidates must follow this procedure , so it will allows us to expedite your process and put you on place in timely manner.
Initial Step / Procedure

1. We would like to receive an up-to-date resume.
2. We will match with suitable openings we have! Then contact you to discuss your options, provide you with information about available positions, working environment & job description (if available, if not we can request from hospital later on), country of interest, contract conditions, benefits package, salary scale, etc.
3. If agreed to position, salary scale, etc. We will send to you an application package.

Gulf Hospitals usually require the following documents

Copy of up to date comprehensive resume. Resume should have detailed information regarding:

a. Qualifications / Degrees (where name of [institution & country] and when [year] achieved)
b. Experience (including description of duties, procedures performed, care provided, etc.)
c. Information about facilities worked at (hospital size, number of beds, trauma, referral, primary care, public, private, etc.)
d. List of publications / research, if any

Copy of Diplomas / Degrees

Copy of current professional registration (License)

Three current letters of reference stating the position you held and the time period spent in that position (Can wait for if might jeopardize your current job)

Copy of passport's front page and second (preferable page # 1-3)

Four (4) passport size photographs

Application form that we will send to you

Nurses have to complete a skills checklist (we will send you, after resume received to our office)

Respiratory Therapists to complete "experience form" (we will send you, after resume received to our office)

After receiving above documents, we will:
(Please note some hospitals will not process the application unless all of the above documents provided)

1. Verify documents received from you
2. Send all documents to the hospital(s) of your choice for a final approval (Please allow 2 to 4 weeks to receive a reply)
3. Send you a weekly update to the status of your application as received form the hospital
4. Notify you of the outcome (approval/rejection)

Application Approved
If your application was approved, usually we receive an offer of employment on your behalf! We will discuss this offer with you! If you decided to accept, and there is NO OBLIGATION for you to accept, you will receive a "Contract Package" including:

1. Original copy of your contract
2. Visa application form
3. Consulate Medical form (Where applicable)
4. Other related material (Country profile, Orientation booklet, Job description (if provided by hospital) etc On the behalf of hospital(s) We will obtain your work visa ; usually visa can be obtained within one to two weeks after receiving all documents required. Meanwhile, Hospital or we will arrange for your booking, ticket, departure, inform hospital to arrange for your orientation, housing, Meet & Greet, etc.

Usually it takes about 3-5 months from date we receive a complete application to get a candidate out.
