Ventilator and Tracheotomy Program

Ventilator and Tracheotomy Program was designed to provide the support and care that enables families who are facing the challenges of caring for a patient on a ventilator or with a tracheotomy to confidently and safely care for their loved one at home. R A S Health Care provides hourly or around the clock services in a well-coordinated, family centered approach to meet the complex needs of these patients and their caregivers. We have only professional nurses who are specially trained and experienced to care for ventilator dependent and tracheotomy patients in their homes. Furthermore, the company’s nurses attend training and continuing education programs conducted by respiratory therapists and other health professionals designed to advance their skills and expertise in caring for ventilator dependent and tracheotomy patients. Before services commence, one of our Registered Nurses, in consultation with the patient’s attending physician and family members, will visit the patient’s home or facility from which the patient is being discharged, to develop a comprehensive plan of care. Once services commence, periodic home supervisory visits are conducted by Registered Nurses to assure the services are being provided according to the plan of care. Furthermore, written daily patient progress notes and outcome reports are made available to the patient’s physician, authorized family members, and case managers.
